Launched on January 30, 2009 from the Plesetsk Test Range (Russia). Orbit: 550km altitude, 82.5 degrees inclination. Data available from March 2009 till November 2009. More information can be found here: http://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/%CA%EE%F0%EE%ED%E0%F1-%D4%EE%F2%EE%ED Electron-m-Pesca ("pesca" in Spanish means "fishing") instrument package was created in D.V. Skobeltsyn Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Moscow State University (SINP MSU). The device allows to detect: protons ( 4 - 80 MeV/nucl ) electrons ( 0,2 - 3 MeV/nucl ) alpha - particles ( 5 - 24 MeV / nucl ) nuclei of C, N, O group ( 6 - 15 MeV / nucl ) Electron-m-Pesca instrument data available from 2009.03.04 till 2009.11.30. Each file contains one day and has the name YYYYMMDD.txt YYYY - year in 4 digits MM - month in 2 digits dd - day in 2 digits Normal time resolution is 1 second. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Headers are separated by spaces and have the following meaning: Date - date and time; format: YYYY-MM-DD_hh:mm:ss Channels (counts per second): Channel id : particle energies, MeV GeomFactor,1/cm2*sr kfe0d2_1 : Electrons, E = 0.2 - 1.0 MeV; 22 +/-5 kfp4_16 : Protons, E = 4.0 - 16.0 MeV; 24 +/-2 kfa5_16 : Alpha, E = 5.0 - 16.0 MeV/nucleon; 15 +/-5 kfe1_4 : Electrons, E = 1.0 - 4.0 MeV; 2.5+/-0.5 kfp16_28 : Protons, E = 16.0 - 28.0 MeV; 8.5+/-2 kfe4_ : Electrons, E > 4.0 MeV; 12 +/-3 kfc6_15 : CNO, E = 6.0 - 15.0 MeV/nucleon; 20 +/-5 kfa16_24 : Alpha, E = 16.0 - 24.0 MeV/nucleon; 21 +/-1 kfp41_55 : Protons, E = 41.0 - 55.0 MeV; 15 +/-3 kfp80_ : Protons, E > 80.0 MeV; 12 +/-2 ------------------------ COORDINATES ----------------------------- Geodetic lat - Latitude, degrees lon - Longitude, degrees alt - Altitude above the sea level, km Geographical Cartesian: x - x-axis,km y - y-axis,km z - z-axis,km Magnetic mlat - Magnetic Latitude, degrees mlon - Magnetic Longitude, degrees Invariant invlat - Invariant Latitude, degrees invlon - Invariant Longitude, degrees lt - Local Time, hours Solar Magnetic mlt - Magnetic Local Time, hours Mc Ilwain l - L-shell b - Magnetic Field Module, Gauss b_x - IGRF Magnetic Field geografical x-coordinate, nT b_y - IGRF Magnetic Field geografical y-coordinate, nT b_z - IGRF Magnetic Field geografical z-coordinate, nT -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Typical row from table of electron fluxes: YYYY MM DD hh mm ss kfe0d2_1 kfp4_16 kfa5_16 kfe1_4 kfp16_28 kfe4_ kfc6_15 kfa16_24 kfp41_55 kfp80_ lat lon alt x y z mlat mlon invlat invlon lt mlt l b b_x b_y b_z 2009 03 04 19 34 07 1 0 0 2 1 8 0 0 1 2 41.95 43.74 541.563 3723.057 3562.785 4603.917 36.99 122.91 40.11 116.28 22.48 22.76 1.69 0.381287 -28066.7 -24639.3 -7678.6 2009 03 04 19 34 08 3 0 0 1 1 3 0 0 0 0 41.89 43.75 541.585 3726.005 3566.937 4598.381 36.93 122.91 40.05 116.28 22.49 22.76 1.69 0.381102 -28059.5 -24645.1 -7594.3 ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Contacts: smdc@sinp.msu.ru Please, acknowledge SMDC of SINP MSU using the data.
